Starting the journey

I never believed I was capable of taking in a dog, caring for it, then letting it go to another home. Well, I still don't know if I'm capable of it. But I'm willing to try. Ray and I have been approved to become foster parents for dogs at the Terre Haute Humane Society. I'm excited and nervous. It's a huge responsibility, but I think it's something I need to do. If I can help get a dog into a loving home, all the work will be worth it. Stay tuned as I document this journey, successes, failures, and tears.
